Several workspaces

Run each business in its own workspace, with its own domains, mail, team, plan and invoices, and switch between them from the sidebar.

Details

  • The switcher at the top of the sidebar lists every workspace you own or were invited into, each with its plan, and New workspace makes another: its own domains, addresses and mailbox, fully separate.
  • A plan belongs to a workspace rather than to you, so each one has its own plan, limits and invoices, and nothing is shared between them. The owner, or a role with billing:write, manages a workspace’s plan.
  • You can own one workspace on the Free plan at a time: upgrade it before you create the next. Paid workspaces have no limit, and your personal mailbox does not count as one.
  • Deleting a workspace is under Danger zone in its settings: type its name and confirm with your verification code. Its plan is cancelled first, then its DNS records are released and its mail is deleted. Your first workspace cannot be deleted.
  • The same is on the REST API under /workspaces, on the SDK as workspaces, on the command line as openemail workspaces and on the MCP server.
