AI & agents

Everything your agent can do,
inside what you approve.

27 features an agent can use through MCP, the command line or the API, grouped by the job at hand. Each one links to how it works.

Inboxes on demand

One command makes a disposable address, with no account. Lasting addresses live on your own domain.

extend it an hour at a time, up to a day

Temporary addresses

A free inbox that takes real mail for an hour, then closes, so a signup cannot follow you.

Catch-all addresses

Every address on the domain receives, including ones that have never been created. One switch closes it.

Threads and replies

It reads the whole thread, oldest message first, and answers inside it from the address the mail came to.

Thanks. Shipping the fix this afternoon.
Sendno mouse, no menus

Send as any alias

Reply from the exact address the mail arrived on.

Drafts

Autosaved three seconds after you stop typing, and reopened from the Drafts folder with the recipients, the subject, the body and the From address intact. The attachments stay behind.

Labels

Name a label, pick a colour, and filter the list down to it.

Thread notes

Keep a private note attached to a thread.

03 · 3 features

Files and attachments

It lists and uploads files, and shares one as a link when a message needs it.

Files

Every attachment this mailbox holds, in one place you can search, download and clear out.

Attachments

Pick them with the paperclip or paste them in. A pasted image lands in the body rather than the file list, and a file dragged onto the composer is not attached at all. On an OpenEmail mailbox incoming files sit in object storage, one object each, and opening a thread pulls every one of them.

Files on your own domain

Download links for the files you send on a subdomain you choose, such as files.yourdomain.com, instead of the OpenEmail address.

Events as they happen

Webhooks tell your endpoint the moment mail arrives, is delivered, bounces or gets a reply.

[email protected]blocked sender
[email protected]blocked domain
[email protected]language filter
[email protected]your rule → archive

Webhooks

Tell your endpoint when mail arrives, instead of making you poll.

Rules you write yourself

Your own conditions, and what should happen to anything that matches them.

See when mail you sent was opened

Whether a message you sent has been opened, when, how many times and which of its links were followed. Off until you turn it on, and plain about the readings it cannot get.

Your own domain

It sends as [email protected], from a domain you verify once.

acme.comacme.devteam.acme.comhey.acme.io

Multiple domains

Point several domains at one inbox, subdomains included.

DMARC policy

A starter p=none record, printed to copy or written by a sync, never tightened for you.

06 · 2 features

Search

It finds mail with the operators you already know, such as from:, has:pdf and newer_than:7d.

Analytics & graphs

What your mailbox is actually doing, drawn rather than guessed at.

Safe sends

Through the API and the command line, a retry with the same key sends once. Hold a send for up to 15 minutes, or try it with --dry-run first.

Tomorrow, 8:00
queued, not sent

Email API

Send one message or a hundred per call, now or later, and retry without sending twice.

Undo send

A window to change your mind, and the composer comes back exactly as it was.

Scheduled send

Write it now, land it when they are awake.

MCP, CLI and API

One mailbox, three ways in. An agent uses whichever one it can run.

/threads?query=invoice
{ "threads": 12 }
Same mailbox, whether a person or a program is holding it.

MCP server

Point Claude, or any MCP client, at your mailbox.

Command line

Your mailbox and every API operation, from a terminal or a script.

A documented HTTP API with issuable, scopable, revocable keys.

Typed SDKs

A TypeScript client first, then the rest.

OAuth for third-party clients

Apps register themselves and sign in with PKCE, and you choose the workspace, addresses and permissions each one gets.

Scoped visibility

One address means one address.

Roles & permissions levels

A role says what somebody may do, and an address grant says where, unless the role reaches every address.

API keys

A key per job, limited to the scopes and senders it needs, with every call logged.
