What is email translation?
Email translation rewrites a message in a language its reader knows. A careful one leaves names, numbers and links alone, so they still match the original.
How it works
Translate from the message menu
Choose Translate from the ⋯ menu on a message. The text changes where it sits, not in a side panel.
Two hundred languages, switched mid-message
Search by the name a language calls itself, and switch halfway down without a trip to settings.
The parts you check stay put
Names, links, order numbers, prices and dates stay exactly as they arrived. Quoted replies underneath are left alone.

Set your language once
Pick it in Account → General, apart from the app’s language, so the first translation is right.

Every language you can read in, you can also answer in, from the same thread.

Match names, prices and order numbers against the original before you act on them.
