Search by code, English name or native name. The language of the mail you are answering, and this recipient’s last one, come first.
Your original travels underneath
Your words go below a rule, captioned in their language. A right-to-left translation reads right to left, and your original keeps its direction.

Without one in Settings → General, a reply’s language is guessed from its script alone.

It lets the reader check a sentence that lands strangely.

If twenty readers share a language, one message to all of them is one translation, not twenty.
