What is an AI email assistant?
An AI email assistant is a chat that works on your mailbox from plain instructions. Some only answer questions about your mail. Others can also file threads and send replies, and then what matters is which steps wait for your approval.
How it works
It opens the thread, then summarises
Name a conversation by its subject or sender. It finds the thread, opens it in the chat and summarises what the messages say.
Labels and archives in bulk
Ask it to file threads under a label, and it creates the label if none exists. Archiving takes many threads at once, and the chat says how many.
Nothing sends until you say yes
A send stops at a card showing From, To, the subject and the body, with Send and Cancel. Moving mail to the bin stops the same way.

Name the thread
Give a subject line or a sender, so it opens the conversation you mean.

Say which address
There is no default sender, so tell it which of your addresses a new message goes from.

Read the card
Check the To line and the body on the confirmation card before you press Send.
