Any address on your domain, or the whole domain, can deliver to an outside mailbox. Name a destination, and the mail follows once the person there agrees.

Forwarding passes mail sent to one address on to a mailbox somewhere else, so the address people write to and the place it is read need not be the same. Senders keep using the address they already know.

How it works
Nothing moves until they agree
The mailbox at the far end gets a link, and relaying starts when somebody there opens it. Until then the address delivers where it would have anyway.
Ten destinations, each on its own
Add several outside mailboxes to one address. Each is asked separately, and pausing or removing one leaves the rest alone.
Keep a copy, or hand it on
With the copy on, mail lands here too and you can reply from it. Turn it off and only an archived copy is kept.

Read both ends until you trust the destination, then hand the mail straight on.
