AI website platform

Modulify runs its outreachon OpenEmail.

Modulify builds a demo website for a business before it writes to them. OpenEmail sends the preview, tracks what happens to it and reports every delivery event back to Modulify's sales pipeline.

const client = new OpenEmail({  apiKey: env.OPEN_EMAIL_API_KEY,  timeoutMs: 30_000,  maxRetries: 2,}) const sent = await client.emails.send({  from: sender.name ? { email: sender.address, name: sender.name } : sender.address,  to: payload.to,  subject: payload.subject,  html: payload.html,  headers: payload.headers,  tracking: { opens: true, clicks: true },})

Every outreach email goes out with open and click tracking and unsubscribe headers. What happens next comes back on a signed webhook.

What runs through it

What Modulify runs
on OpenEmail.

  • Site previewsSent once the team approves a prospect, with a link to the demo site built for them.
  • Lead invitationsApproved leads get an invitation to claim the site that was made for them.
  • Offer remindersA note before a claim offer runs out, and another once it has.
  • Open and click trackingEvery outreach email is tracked, so the team can see who opened a preview and who clicked through.
  • One-click unsubscribeInvitations carry List-Unsubscribe headers, which mail apps show as an unsubscribe button.
  • Signed delivery eventsEach event arrives on a webhook that Modulify verifies before it changes anything.

How it was built

How Modulify
put it together.

  1. 01

    Send from its own domains

    Modulify verified its brand domains on OpenEmail and sends from a hello@ address on each.

  2. 02

    One sender per person

    Each recipient is matched to a single sender address, so a prospect always hears from the same one.

  3. 03

    Send with tracking on

    Outreach goes out through the SDK's emails.send, with opens and clicks tracked and unsubscribe headers set.

  4. 04

    Feed events into the pipeline

    Delivery events update each prospect. A bounce retires the invitation, and a complaint marks the lead as unsubscribed.

Features in use

The OpenEmail features
Modulify relies on.

Email API

Send one message or a hundred per call, now or later, and retry without sending twice.

Typed SDKs

TypeScript, Python and Ruby clients, one method for every operation.

/threads?query=invoice
{ "threads": 12 }
Same mailbox, whether a person or a program is holding it.
See when mail you sent was opened

Whether a message you sent has been opened, when, how many times and which of its links were followed. Off until you turn it on, and plain about the readings it cannot get.

Webhooks

Tell your endpoint when mail arrives, instead of making you poll.

/threads?query=invoice
{ "threads": 12 }
Same mailbox, whether a person or a program is holding it.
Multiple domains

Point several domains at one inbox, subdomains included.
