# Workspace branding your mark where ours was

Two images make the sidebar yours: a square mark in the workspace switcher, a wide logo at the top. Both are saved to your account.

## What is workspace branding?

Workspace branding puts your organisation's logo where the software vendor's would sit, so the app you work in wears your name. It changes the screen, not the mail you send.

How it works

## A square mark, a wide logo

The mark stands for the workspace in the switcher at the top of the sidebar, and is all that shows there when the sidebar collapses. The logo replaces ours at the top.

## Upload it, see where it lands

Both are uploaded in Settings, under Appearance. The page draws your sidebar open and collapsed beside them, so you see where each one lands.

## Saved to you, not the workspace

The pair is saved to your account, so it follows you to any machine and every workspace. Someone you share an address with still sees ours.

## Getting the most out of it

   Centre the glyph
   
   The mark is cropped to a circle when the sidebar collapses, so keep the artwork centred.

   Mind the width
   
   The logo is drawn 28px tall and 112px wide at most, so anything wider than four to one shrinks.

   Test the dark theme
   
   The same image is shown in the light and dark themes, so dark lettering on a transparent background can disappear.

Your account sets the defaults. A workspace can answer differently, and any address can have its own signature and tracking.
