# Remind me if nobody replies Send it and stop keeping track.

When you send, pick in 1 day, in 3 days, in 1 week or a date and time. If nobody has replied by then, the conversation is back at the top of your inbox.

In short

## What is a follow-up reminder?

Some of the mail you send needs an answer, and the messages that never get one are the easiest to forget. A follow-up reminder watches the conversation for you. You name a time, and if no real reply has arrived by then, the conversation comes back to the top of the inbox so you can write again. If a reply does arrive, the reminder closes by itself.

How it works

## Back at the top if nobody answers

If no real reply has arrived by the time you picked, the conversation returns to the top of the inbox, unread and marked No reply yet. Your phone gets a push and the web app shows a notice.

## A reply closes it by itself

When somebody answers, the reminder closes and nothing comes back. Automatic replies, delivery reports and your own mail do not count, so an out of office answer leaves the reminder waiting.

## One view for what you are waiting on

Waiting for a reply in the sidebar lists the conversations where a reminder of yours is still waiting. To drop one, open the conversation's menu and pick Cancel reminder.

What you get

## In the product today

On mail you already sent

The menu of a conversation you sent mail in has Remind me if nobody replies.

With scheduled send

A scheduled message can carry a reminder for any time after it goes out, up to a year ahead.

From code as well

The REST API, the SDKs, the command line and the MCP server set, list and cancel reminders too.

Good practice

## Getting the most out of it

1. 01

Match the wait to the question

A day suits a quick yes or no, and a week suits a quote. Pick the time when you would write again anyway.
2. 02

   Set it as you send

The reminder button sits next to schedule send, so add the reminder while the message is still in front of you.
3. 03

   Cancel what got answered elsewhere

If the answer came in a call or a meeting, pick Cancel reminder so the conversation does not come back for nothing.
