# Multiple domains All of them, one inbox.

Add a domain, publish the records it prints, and every address on it receives mail. Subdomains are added the same way.

In short

## How does a domain receive email?

Mail for a domain goes wherever its MX records point. Other records, such as SPF and DKIM, let receivers check that mail claiming to come from it is genuine. Where the name was registered does not come into it.

How it works

## Every domain gets its own records

Each domain lists the records it needs. Publish them wherever your DNS lives, and the domain goes green once they resolve.

## One press writes every record

Connect Cloudflare on the Providers tab and Sync writes them all into your zone, the MX included, then verifies the domain as it finishes.

## Moving a domain that already gets mail

A sync replaces the MX records, so new mail stops going to the old provider and starts arriving here.

## Getting the most out of it

   Sync when you are ready
   
   A sync moves the domain's mail here, so be ready to read it before you press it.

   Save a tuned DMARC first
   
   A sync replaces any policy at \_dmarc with a starter p=none, so copy yours somewhere before you press it.

   Merge duplicate SPF records
   
   A name may carry one SPF record only. If yours has two, a sync leaves them alone until you merge them.
