# Support

Write to the people who build OpenEmail.

## Support tools

| Tool | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| contactSupport | Send a message to OpenEmail support, as the contact page does. The reply goes by email to the account of the person the client acts for, and the workspace is named in the message. |

> It needs no permission. One address can send 3 messages in 10 minutes, and the next one is refused with `support_rate_limited`. In the app’s chat it always asks first.

## Reference

### `contactSupport`

Write to the people who build OpenEmail, as the contact page does. The reply goes by email to the account of the person you act for, and the workspace is named in the message. Use it to report a bug or ask what the docs do not answer, never for mail meant for anybody else.

- No scope.
- The app's assistant always asks first.
- Toolkit: `core`.

**Inputs**

- `topic` (`string`, required, 1 to 64 characters): What it is about in a few words, such as Bug report or Domains & DNS.
- `message` (`string`, required, 1 to 8000 characters)
