# Dedicated IP

An IP address that only your workspace sends from, as a paid add-on for high volume.

## Details

- Mail normally leaves through IP addresses shared with other workspaces, which suits most senders because mailbox providers already trust them. A dedicated IP is an address only your workspace sends from, so its reputation is yours alone.
- It is a paid add-on for workspaces on the Business or Enterprise plan that sent at least 100,000 emails in a month, with one IP per workspace. Below that volume a dedicated IP delivers worse than the shared ones.
- The workspace owner buys it under Dedicated IP in Plans & Billing. Once it is paid, the IP is assigned within minutes and then warmed up over several weeks: it takes on more of your mail each day, and the rest still leaves through the shared IPs. The Sent tab of Settings → Analytics shows how far the warm-up is.
- Cancelling keeps the IP until the end of the month already paid for. After that it is released, and mail leaves through the shared IPs again.
- The add-on is on the REST API as GET /billing/add-ons, POST /billing/add-ons/checkout and DELETE /billing/add-ons/dedicated-ip, and the IPs as GET /sending/dedicated-ips. The SDK has billing.listAddOns, billing.startAddOnCheckout, billing.cancelAddOn and sending.listDedicatedIps, the command line has the same, and the MCP server has listBillingAddOns, startAddOnCheckout, cancelAddOn and listDedicatedIps.
