# Share an address

Hand billing@ to the person who does the billing.

## Details

- Shared from the Share control on an address row, under Settings → Addresses, or in the address table on the domain it belongs to; the address then appears in their own inbox.
- They do not need an OpenEmail account first, and having one changes nothing: everybody is sent an invitation carrying that same address at that same level, and nothing is shared until they accept it. See Invitations below.
- Two levels, chosen when you share: read only, or read and send as the address. Both see only the address they were granted, and the level is now enforced rather than advisory. A read-only grant never enters the list a send is checked against, on the send path, in the app and through the assistant alike. It is the second half of the answer: what they may do at all is their ROLE, and both have to agree.
