# Suggested replies

Short replies to the latest message, ready to send.

## Details

- When a conversation is waiting on you, its latest message gets up to three short replies: a few words on each chip and the whole reply behind it. Picking one opens the reply box with it written in, so you can change it before it goes.
- They are written in the language of that message and the way you write to that person, from the conversation, your earlier replies to them, what is known about their organisation and, when they ask for a time, the busy times of your calendar.
- Suggestions are written once for each new message and kept, so opening the thread again costs nothing. Newsletters, automated notices, mail from no-reply addresses, spam, encrypted mail and threads where your reply came last get none.
- They spend no AI actions. Turning off Suggested replies in the workspace privacy settings stops them and deletes what was stored.
