# Read the workspace the app opens

The workspace the app opens for the person when they sign in.

`GET /workspaces/active`

## GET /workspaces/active

The workspace the app opens for the person when they sign in.

## Example

Needs `account:read`. It is not the workspace the key or the app acts on, which never changes.

**curl**

```
curl "$OE/workspaces/active" -H "$AUTH"
```

**Response**

```
{
  "object": "workspace",
  "id": "10417196-e324-4283-af98-66ec62167c47",
  "name": "Acme",
  "slug": "acme",
  "email": "hello@acme.com",
  "kind": "business",
  "isOwner": true,
  "createdAt": "2026-08-01T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

> `kind` is `personal` when the app opens the personal space, which holds the free address.
