# Delete a signature

The signature goes for good, and a default it held is left empty.

`DELETE /signatures/{id}`

## DELETE /signatures/{id}

The signature goes for good, and a default it held is left empty.

## Example

Needs `settings:write`.

**curl**

```
curl -X DELETE "$OE/signatures/sig_8f2c1a9b7d3e4f60a1b2c3d4" -H "$AUTH"
```

**Response**

```
{ "object": "signature", "id": "sig_8f2c1a9b7d3e4f60a1b2c3d4", "address": "ada@acme.com", "deleted": true }
```

> There is no undo. Mail the signature would have signed by default goes out with no signature until another one is chosen, and a scheduled message that named it with `signatureId` carries the default of its address instead.
