# Support

Every operation in this group: what it accepts, what it returns and the errors it can answer with.

## Operations

Write to the people who build OpenEmail, as the contact page does. The reply goes by email to the account behind the call.

### `POST /support`

Write to OpenEmail support

Sends a message to OpenEmail support, as the contact page does for somebody signed in. The name and the address the reply goes to come from the account behind the call: the workspace owner for an API key, and the person who connected the app for an access token. The workspace is named in the message, so support knows which one it is about.

One address can send 3 messages in 10 minutes. The next one is a 429 `support_rate_limited`, and nothing is recorded or sent.

Needs no scope: any key or access token for the workspace may write to support.

- Needs an API key or an OAuth access token, and no scope.

**Request body**

- `topic` (`string`, required, 1 to 64 characters): What it is about in a few words, up to 64 characters, such as `Bug report` or `Domains & DNS`.
- `message` (`string`, required, 1 to 8000 characters): The message itself, up to 8,000 characters.

**Returns**

- `201` `SupportRequest`: The message reached support.

**Errors**

- `429`: `support_rate_limited`: this address sent 3 messages in the last 10 minutes.
- The errors every operation can return: `400`, `401`, `403`, `404`, `422`, `500`, described in the [error catalog](https://openemail.uk/docs/api/errors).

### Objects

#### `SupportRequest`

`object`

- `object` (`string`, required, one of `"support_request"`)
- `id` (`string`, required): Quote it if you write again about the same thing.
