# Download an export

The zip of a ready export.

`GET /exports/{id}/content`

## GET /exports/{id}/content

The zip of a ready export.

## Example

Needs `threads:read`. The answer is `application/zip`, with the file name in `Content-Disposition`.

**curl**

```
curl "$OE/exports/exp_8c1e4a7f2b9d3e6a0c5f1b28/content" -H "$AUTH" -o acme_20260930_093102.zip
```

**Response**

```
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Type: application/zip
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="acme_20260930_093102.zip"; filename*=UTF-8''acme_20260930_093102.zip
```

> Before the export is `ready` the call is a 409 `export_not_ready`, and an export older than a year was deleted and is a 409 `expired`.

> An app asks for a verification code first, as it does to start one.
