# Find the keys to seal mail to

The live public keys of each recipient, before a message is sealed.

`GET /encryption/keys/lookup`

## GET /encryption/keys/lookup

The live public keys of each recipient, before a message is sealed.

## Example

Needs `emails:send`. `addresses` is a comma-separated list of up to 51 recipients. An address with no key comes back with `keys` empty, so mail to it cannot be sealed.

**curl**

```
curl "$OE/encryption/keys/lookup?addresses=ana@acme.com,bob@example.org" -H "$AUTH"
```

**Response**

```
{
  "object": "list",
  "data": [
    {
      "object": "address_keys",
      "address": "ana@acme.com",
      "keys": [
        {
          "fingerprint": "3F2A9C1B7E4D5F60A1B2C3D4E5F60718293A4B5C",
          "publicKey": "-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----\n…",
          "createdAt": "2026-09-30T09:12:44.000Z"
        }
      ]
    },
    { "object": "address_keys", "address": "bob@example.org", "keys": [] }
  ]
}
```

> Only keys published by somebody who can read the address count, so a key a former member left behind is never offered.
