# List the assistant chats

The conversations held with the assistant in the app, newest first.

`GET /chats`

## GET /chats

The conversations held with the assistant in the app, newest first.

## Example

Needs `threads:read`. `q` searches the titles and `sort` is `newest`, `oldest` or `title`. A page at a time with `limit` and `cursor`.

**curl**

```
curl "$OE/chats?q=invoices" -H "$AUTH"
```

**Response**

```
{
  "object": "list",
  "data": [{
      "object": "chat",
      "id": "8f3c2a71-5e9d-4b06-a1c4-7d2e9f0b3a65",
      "title": "Invoices from Stripe this quarter",
      "kind": "chat",
      "messageCount": 12,
      "updatedAt": "2026-09-30T09:12:44.000Z"
    }],
  "hasMore": false,
  "nextCursor": null
}
```

> Only the workspace owner reaches the chats: an API key, or an app the owner connected with every address. An access token acting for a member is a 403 `owner_only`, and a key or an app limited to particular addresses or domains is a 422 `capability_unsupported`.
