Pausing stops a live automation without losing anybody: nobody new enters and everybody inside holds at their step. Resuming carries on from there, and archiving retires the automation for good.

## POST /automations/{id}/pause

Pausing stops a live automation without losing anybody: nobody new enters and everybody inside holds at their step. Resuming carries on from there, and archiving retires the automation for good.

## Example

Needs `automations:write`. Resuming also needs `emails:send`.

> A wait keeps counting while the automation is paused. Somebody whose wait ended in the meantime moves on as soon as it resumes.

> People who met the trigger while it was paused are not added afterwards.

> Resuming checks the live version again, and is refused with 422 `invalid_automation` while a sender, a template or an audience it needs is gone.

> Archiving cannot be undone. Everybody inside leaves with the reason `archived`, and the automation no longer counts towards the plan.

> Only a published automation can be paused or resumed: 409 `automation_not_published`.
