# Remove the web app address

Removes the web app address. Everyone signed in there is signed out and the address stops opening the workspace, while openemail.uk keeps working for the same people.

`DELETE /app-host`

## DELETE /app-host

Removes the web app address. Everyone signed in there is signed out and the address stops opening the workspace, while openemail.uk keeps working for the same people.

## Example

Needs `domains:write` and a key with no address or domain restriction.

**curl**

```
curl -X DELETE "$OE/app-host" -H "$AUTH"
```

**Response**

```
{
  "object": "app_host",
  "id": "ahost_3f9c2a71d0b84e56a1c7f2e9",
  "host": "mailbox.acme.com",
  "deleted": true
}
```

> The CNAME record stays at your DNS provider until you remove it.

> With no address set, nothing changes and `deleted` is false, so a repeated call is safe.

> An OAuth access token needs a verification code for this call. Until the app has verified one in the last 60 minutes, the call answers `403` `step_up_required` and changes nothing. An API key is never asked. The Authentication page shows how to ask for a code and verify it.
